My new book: "Homesick and Happy"

I am writing a new book, "Homesick and Happy" about children's experiences away from their parents, when they are at summer camps or years abroad to remind parents that children grow and change when they are away from home.

Please join the conversation about "Homesick and Happy" on my blog or by filling out a questionnaire about camp experiences. There are two quesitonnaires, one for former campers and one for former counselors.

What's happening to our boys and what can we do to create schools, families and communities where boys can thrive?

High School Students "Deeply Moved" by Raising Cain

Joan Boland, Glen Ridge High School writes: "I thought you might like to know that I use "Raising Cain" in my high school Sociology class. After watching the video and reading some of the PBS.org materials I had the students design a program addressing an issue or issues raised in the program. They had to create a flier for their "program", and write a description of it, including what they expected participants to learn. The results were excellent..."
