Travels and Work with International Schools
Dr. Thompson travels about eighty days a year to make keynote presentations at conferences, run professional development days for teachers, consult to schools or speak to parent groups. He has visited more than five hundred schools in the U.S., Europe, Central and South America and Asia. He has been a keynote speaker for all the major for the Near East/South Asia Conference of International Schools (NESA), the European Council of International Schools (ECIS) , the East Asian Regional Conference of Overseas Schools (EARCOS) and all of the major associations in Africa, Central and South America.
He helped develop and has been the facilitator for the Academy of International School Heads summer seminar for the past six years.
In the fall of 2007, Dr. Thompson completed a five-city tour of boys' schools in Australia and New Zealand.
